The JDA PB6000 portable onsite milling machine is a custom linear milling machine, designed for one of our customer based on their specified on site milling working. The portable milling machine can easily handle small sized flat surface, weld bead machining, and keyway milling operations. It is a superb on site machine tool for field machining companies and metalworking equipment fabrication.
The PB6000 portable in situ milling machine can achieve a milling travel length of 6.5 meters at one time setup. It is such a long milling travel length, ideal for small sized but longer milling operation requirements. The milling travel can also be customized to other lengths, shorter or longer.
The travel length in vertical direction of the PB6000 mobile onsite milling machine is 200 mm. It allows the operators to use face mills and end mills in different sizes for the on site specific milling works.
The bed frame of the on site portable milling machine is made from forging materials, providing the strength and rigidity for strict milling tolerance control.
The customer chose a fully servo drive system for their custom field milling machine, servo driven spindle head and automatic feed in milling travel length direction, because their milling operations is not high load. One operator can easily operate it after the on site portable milling machine is installed.
In addition, the PB6000 onsite milling machine also has a power option of drive hydraulic ideally for heavy-duty surface milling operations on large equipment and structural components.
The on site portable milling machine features high precision linear guide and rack on the bed frame for ensuring the smooth, stable and consistent feed to achieve the reliable surface finish and flatness.
The unique design of the mount base allows the operators to level the in field milling machine efficiently and accurately. The installation method involves welding the mounting plates and bolting the mounting bases. The whole process is easy to operate and can be completed within one to two hours.
